Flamboyan Branches

Throughout the Island of Puerto Rico the beautiful Flamboyán tree is an umbrella of shade when in full bloom. It's  brilliant red flowers and yellow stamens are nestled along the massive branches, in the comfort of lacy leaves.  It is quite a site to behold! 

 

 

 

Note: To create a Flamboyan Tree, as shown above, you must free-hand paint the trunk and main branches.  Then use the stencil to create the leaves and flowers!

This is a Free-Form design, NOT a theorem.  After stenciling the branch, leaves and flowers can be placed anywhere on the design.  The stamens fit into the center of the flowers.  Because this is color over color, it is best to use Acrylic paint rather than oils so that coverage is better.   

 

The stencil has 4 layers, each on a different sheet

The branch can be used as a border or a
colorful accent on walls, cabinets & furniture.
